This page covers two distinct environments: the application (app.hoteo.app) and the public website (hoteo.be).

The application: no non-essential cookies

The Hoteo application uses no advertising, profiling or audience-measurement cookies — of any kind. It only uses technical local storage (your browser's localStorage), strictly necessary for its operation. In line with the position of the Belgian Data Protection Authority, this strictly necessary storage does not require consent; this page informs you about it in full transparency.

This storage is limited to three purposes: your session (staying signed in — cleared on sign-out), your display language, and your recent navigation (your recently viewed items, to get back to them quickly).

This information stays in your browser: it is not used for any advertising tracking and is not shared with any third party.

The public website: audience measurement subject to your consent

The public website hoteo.be uses Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) to measure its audience: pages viewed, where visits come from, aggregated statistics. These measurement cookies are only set after your consent, given via the banner shown on your first visit — refusing is as easy as accepting, and your choice can be changed at any time via the "Cookies" link on the website.
